DESCRIPTION:Donna The Buffalo is not just a band\, rather one might say that Donna The Buffalo has become a lifestyle for its members and audiences. Since 1989\, the roots rockers have played thousands of shows and countless festivals including Bonnaroo\, Newport Folk Festival\, Telluride\, Austin City Limits Festival\, Merle Fest\, and Philadelphia Folk Festival. \nThey’ve opened for The Dead and have toured with Peter Rowan\, Del McCoury\, Los Lobos\, Little Feat\, Jim Lauderdale\, Rusted Root\, and Railroad Earth to name a few. They also toured with Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Ben Cohen to help raise awareness about increased corporate spending in politics. \nIn 1991\, the band started the Finger Lakes Grassroots Festival in Trumansburg\, NY. The four day festival has become an annual destination for over 15\,000 music lovers every year and was started as an AIDS benefit. It continues as a benefit for arts and education. To date\, the event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and is now one of three Grassroots Festivals; the Bi-annual Shakori Hills fest in North Carolina and Virginia Key festival in Florida. In 2016 GrassRoots Culture Camp was introduced in Trumansburg\, New York as four days of music\, art\, dance and movement workshops\, including nightly dinners and dances. \nFood & Bar: Our full food and drink menu will be available before and during the show. Intimately real and at times hilarious they exude a contagious charm that guarantees you’ll feel good no matter how haunting the melody or biting the message. They’re a sassy\, smokin’\, bone tremblin’ slow-burn Blues balm. \n  \nThey recently released their new album\, “Keep On!” on Blue Heart Records. This international dynamic duo has been touring around the world together since 2010. This year they were at the prestigious Cognac Blues Passion in France\, Heritage Music Blues Festival as well as Beautiful Swamp Blues featuring Dave Specter. They appeared on Songs at the Center\, were finalists in the International Blues Challenge and can be found often at Buddy Guy’s Legends in Chicago.  \n  \nBorn in Normandy\, France in the early 60’s\, Pascal Fouquet began studying classical guitar at eleven and discovered the Blue note a few years later. Since 1980 he’s been a professional musician and never ceases to give homage to his master teachers: B.B. King\, Albert King\, T-Bone Walker\, Kenny Burrell … and many others. A multi-award-winning guitarist he’s had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many great artists including: Diunna Greenleaf\, Dave Specter\, Mike Sanchez\, Steve Clayton\, Russell Jackson\, Candye Kane\, Alex Shultz\, Kid Ramos\, Sax Gordon\, Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne and Sean Castello.  \n  \nLil’ Red\, born in Columbus\, Ohio in the late 60’s\, grew up loving Hollywood movie musicals especially Bojangles\, Gene Kelly\, Louis Armstrong\, Ella Fitzgerald and the Nicolas Brothers. Rhythm and groove have always been her deep love. She studied everything in the arts: music\, dance\, acting\, writing\, painting\, martial arts and meditation. DESCRIPTION:Natalie’s is thrilled to welcome Colin Gawel as our November happy hour residency every Friday night on Charlie’s Stage! \nAbout Colin Gawel… \n“I wrote my first song on the back of a paper route book in 6th grade.” – Colin Gawel \nSoon after\, while seeing a Cheap Trick concert\, I convinced my pal Joe Oestreich that we should start a band and get signed to Epic Records. Just like Cheap Trick did. Watershed was born at that moment of the bus ride home from the show. Once we learned how to play\, we did get signed to Epic Records and do damn near every single thing a rock n roll band can do. Except have a hit song. It’s quite a tale.   \nIn fact\, you can read all about it in the best selling memoir “Hitless Wonder- A Life in Minor League Rock n Roll” which was released in 2012 and National Public Radio called it one of the two best books of the summer. It rose to #1 on the Amazon music book charts. (!) As of 2022\, Watershed is still recording and playing shows. \n In the meantime\, I also record and perform as a solo artist. Superior- The Best of Colin Gawel is 17 seventeen song compilation of that work. And in 2018 I released the League Bowlers Some Balls Deluxe. The Bowlers play bottom shelf versions of top shelf rock n roll\, both originals and tasty bar room versions of the classics. Testimony service is about people in the congregation telling stories of overcoming trials\, receiving blessings despite their many challenges\, and singing gospel music rich with emotion and perseverance. Just like with the Blues\, when you sing these uplifting gospel songs\, your trials seem to melt away and you find “your help”. Joined by Debra James Tucker and Karen Hewitt\, for the gospel harmonies we grew up on\, and the band Tyrone Collier on bass and Reggie Jackson on drums.  \nThe unique sound of vocalist Debra James Tucker is a product of extensive training in jazz\, classical and gospel music. She is the writer/performer of the one woman show Survival of the Boulevard Singer—winner of an Ohio Arts Council Award for Individual Excellence\, has been a visiting instructor at Denison University in the history of African American Gospel Music\, and an artist in residence with several youth arts organizations. \nSoul Sunday at Natalie’s is held on the first Sunday of each month. Seating for The Gospel Show Brunch show begins at 1:30 pm\, with showtime at 2:30 pm presenting the best national and regional Gospel Artists in concert hosted by Debra James Tucker. The evening show\, hosted by Qamil\, features a variety of Soul bands. DESCRIPTION:Matt Lorenz’s vision\, manifest in The Suitcase Junket\, developed in the tension between the grand and the solitary. Grand in its imagery\, sound\, and staging. Solitary in its thrift and self-reliance. What instruments he requires\, Lorenz builds from scratch and salvage. What parts five players would perform\, he performs alone. The spectacle of his one-man set bears constant comparison to legends of showmanship\, brilliance\, madness\, and invention. \nWhile audiences are captivated by his solitary form and the show itself\, Lorenz\, who homesteads with rescue dogs and chickens in rural Western Massachusetts\, is most serious about the songs. He has been building a catalog\, writing a world into existence. Solitary on stage and on the road\, his mind is crowded with characters\, narratives\, voices\, imagery\, sounds as wide and varied as mountain throat singers and roadhouse juke boxes\, plus newsreels of the planet’s destruction and salvage. \nWith his 2020 release\, The End is New\, Lorenz’s grand vision for the song overrides the how of it. The End is New is Lorenz’s sixth full-length album as The Suitcase Junket\, his first for Renew Records/BMG.  The sound has become more refined and deeper with each release. Lorenz tours extensively and plans to be back on the road for a waylaid release tour for The End is New in 2021. Lorenz is also a visual artist. In the early years he designed all The Suitcase Junket album art and merchandise and made the music videos generated with his songs. He continues to create the visuals for merchandise\, and to produce some of his videos\, now with collaborators. To commemorate the anniversary\, Eric has announced that he will be playing shows all year long\, performing the album in its entirety. He’s also revealed that Sounds Like This will finally be available on vinyl for the first time ever. Furthering the deep-dive into his past\, Eric will also release a new single\, “Sad Songs”\, a forgotten pop tune he wrote and performed regularly on tour in 2008 but never got the chance to record until now. \nToday\, Eric is a seasoned musician and touring artist who’s released eight albums\, performed in all 50 states and experimented with diverse kinds of musical genres like pop\, folk\, reggae\, alternative rock\, and jazz. Still\, more often than not\, Eric says if people are familiar with his music\, they know the songs from Sounds Like This. “I love getting to hear stories from so many people who remember growing up with the music\,” Eric says. “I’ll meet people and they’ll tell me about watching the music video for “Rock & Roll” on VH1 while getting ready for school\, or listening to “Food Chain” on a burned mix CD that an older sister made to celebrate getting her driver’s license\, or singing “Ok\, It’s Alright With Me” in their college a capella group. DESCRIPTION:Rescheduled from May 30th \nPopa Chubby\, born Ted Horowitz\, has been hard rocking the blues in his fierce and soulful way for more than 30 years. Over the course of a career that dates back to 1994\, he has been a force of to be reckoned with on the guitar\, and his tempestuous\, soulful playing has never been more powerful. An imposing figure with a shaven head\, tattooed arms\, a goatee and a performance style he describes as “the Stooges meets Buddy Guy\, Motörhead meets Muddy Waters\, and Jimi Hendrix meets Robert Johnson\,” Popa Chubby is an endearing character who is one of the genre’s most popular figures. \nHis career has always been about moving forward and carving a place for himself in the imposing terrain of the music business\, overcoming odds to continue growing and maturing as a creative force. He has built a constantly increasing base of fans across the world\, where in many territories he is a star. A native New Yorker\, Horowitz’s first gigs were in the NYC punk scene as a guitarist for what he reflects was a “crazy Japanese special effects performance artist in a kimono called Screaming Mad George who had a horror-movie inspired show.” Right from the start he was immersed in rock ‘n’ roll as theater\, and learned from George and others playing CBGB’s at the time that included the Ramones\, the Cramps\, Richard Hell\, whose band\, the Voidoids he joined\, that rock ‘n’ roll should be dangerous. He reflects\, “Musicians like the Ramones and the Sex Pistols weren’t just bands. They were a threat to society.” \nThe Blues however was the foundation of his playing style. He recalls\, “Since I’d grown up on Hendrix\, Cream and Led Zeppelin\, when I started playing blues in New York clubs I understood that the blues should be dangerous\, too. It wasn’t just from playing in punk bands. Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters were dangerous men. They’d cut or shoot you if they thought it was necessary\, and Little Walter packed a gun and wouldn’t hesitate to use it. That danger is a real part of the Blues and I keep it alive in my music.” \nPopa Chubby is his own man for better or worse. He reflects\, “I’m living in a wild time\, and that is where the inspiration is drawn from. There are my issues\, but the picture is much bigger than me and my situation. DESCRIPTION:Kieran Kane’s seminal work in The O’Kanes and Kane Welch Kaplin\, as well as co-founding the independent label Dead Reckoning Records\, laid the foundation for the contemporary world of Americana music. A successful solo artist\, collaborator\, and songwriter (with songs recorded by Alan Jackson\, John Prine\, Emmylou Harris\, and many more)\, Kieran is a musician’s musician: his playing is always understated\, always groove-oriented\, and always serving the song.\n\nIf Rayna Gellert seems a preternaturally gifted songwriter\, it’s because she’s seen farther into the old songs than most. Growing up in a musical family\, she turned to Appalachian old-time music at a young age\, becoming a prodigious fiddler and leading a new revival of American stringband music through her work with the acclaimed roots band Uncle Earl. An in-demand collaborator\, she has toured and recorded with artists such as Scott Miller\, Abigail Washburn\, Toubab Krewe\, and Robyn Hitchcock.\n\nKieran and Rayna first met\, fittingly\, at San Francisco’s celebrated Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival\, which led to their cowriting songs for Kieran’s solo album Unguarded Moments (Dead Reckoning). They joined forces again for Rayna’s 2017 release\, Workin’s Too Hard (StorySound Records)\, which they also co-produced. Their first duo album\, The Ledges\, was released in February of 2018 on Dead Reckoning Records\, followed up quickly by 2019’s When the Sun Goes Down. \nNow\, in 2022\, this “unlikely musical couple” have released The Flowers That Bloom in Spring\, which finds the duo digging deeper into their exploration of minimalist writing and recording. \nFans of either artist will recognize the musical kindred-spiritedness in their restrained and roots-oriented approach to both songs and arrangements. \nFood & Bar: Our full food and drink menu will be available before and during the show.

Just like Cheap Trick did. Watershed was born at that moment of the bus ride home from the show. Once we learned how to play\, we did get signed to Epic Records and do damn near every single thing a rock n roll band can do. Except have a hit song. It’s quite a tale.   \nIn fact\, you can read all about it in the best selling memoir “Hitless Wonder- A Life in Minor League Rock n Roll” which was released in 2012 and National Public Radio called it one of the two best books of the summer. It rose to #1 on the Amazon music book charts. (!) As of 2022\, Watershed is still recording and playing shows. \n In the meantime\, I also record and perform as a solo artist. Superior- The Best of Colin Gawel is 17 seventeen song compilation of that work. And in 2018 I released the League Bowlers Some Balls Deluxe. The Bowlers play bottom shelf versions of top shelf rock n roll\, both originals and tasty bar room versions of the classics. SUMMARY:5th Annual Kirk’s Concert with Grassinine - SOLD OUT!

Co-produced by close friend and kindred musical spirit\, Ruston Kelly\, and beloved Nashville engineer and producer\, Gena Johnson\, the album is rich and dynamic from cathartic jams to nostalgic storytelling.\n\nThe son of late songwriting legend\, John Prine\, Tommy Prine grew up in Nashville surrounded by music\, art and writing. As a child\, he thought all parents were musicians\, as his father “going to work” meant performing shows for adoring fans and writing songs. Tommy learned to play guitar by watching his father play\, copying the ways his fingers moved and inadvertently developing his own singular style. Summers in Ireland lent their own inspiration\, as did 10 straight years camping at Bonnaroo.
