For this happening hour performance\, there will be no admission charge\, but tips are greatly appreciated. Jump-up and shake a tail feather\, or two\, ‘cause Lil’ Red & The Rooster will roll out some smooth retro modern Blues just for you. Intimately real and at times hilarious they exude a contagious charm that guarantees you’ll feel good no matter how haunting the melody or biting the message. They’re a sassy\, smokin’\, bone tremblin’ slow-burn Blues balm. \nThey recently released their new album\, “Keep On!” on Blue Heart Records. This international dynamic duo has been touring around the world together since 2010. This year they were at the prestigious Cognac Blues Passion in France\, Heritage Music Blues Festival as well as Beautiful Swamp Blues featuring Dave Specter. They appeared on Songs at the Center\, were finalists in the International Blues Challenge and can be found often at Buddy Guy’s Legends in Chicago.  \nBorn in Normandy\, France in the early 60’s\, Pascal Fouquet began studying classical guitar at eleven and discovered the Blue note a few years later. Since 1980 he’s been a professional musician and never ceases to give homage to his master teachers: B.B. King\, Albert King\, T-Bone Walker\, Kenny Burrell … and many others. A multi-award-winning guitarist he’s had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many great artists including: Diunna Greenleaf\, Dave Specter\, Mike Sanchez\, Steve Clayton\, Russell Jackson\, Candye Kane\, Alex Shultz\, Kid Ramos\, Sax Gordon\, Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne and Sean Castello.  \nLil’ Red\, born in Columbus\, Ohio in the late 60’s\, grew up loving Hollywood movie musicals especially Bojangles\, Gene Kelly\, Louis Armstrong\, Ella Fitzgerald and the Nicolas Brothers. Rhythm and groove have always been her deep love. She studied everything in the arts: music\, dance\, acting\, writing\, painting\, martial arts and meditation. She graduated from Fort Hayes Performing Arts High School for theater\, holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and an MFA in Contemporary Performance from Naropa University.  \nThe Columbus Blues Alliance (CBA) is a non-profit organization founded to help preserve and nurture blues music and is an affiliate of the Blues Foundation in Memphis. DESCRIPTION:Ellis Paul doesn’t just write songs; he’s a guitar-carrying reporter who covers the human condition  and details the hopes\, loves\, losses of those he observes\, turning their stories into luminous pieces of  music that get under your skin and into your bloodstream. And much like the artists who have influenced  him\, everyone from Joni Mitchell\, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon to the singer-songwriter who is undoubtedly  his greatest inspiration\, Woody Guthrie\, Paul weaves deeply personal experiences with social issues and  renders them as provocative works that are as timely as they are timeless. Born and raised in Maine\, Paul  attended Boston College on a track scholarship and in the evenings became a fixture on the city’s open  mic circuit. After winning a Boston Acoustic Underground songwriter competition\, he caught the ear of  folk luminary Bill Morrissey\, who produced his indie album Say Something in 1993. This led to a seven album contract with Rounder Records and the 1994 album\, Stories.  \nHis songs have appeared in several blockbuster films (Me\, Myself\, and Irene; Shallow Hal\, Hall Pass) and  have been covered by award winning country artists (Sugarland\, Kristian Bush\, Jack Ingram). Through a  steady succession of albums of his own – a remarkable 23 releases so far – and a constant touring  presence around the world\, Paul’s audience has grown into a loyal legion of fans. DESCRIPTION:CLAVE SONIC is a Latin-Jazz-Fusion trio featuring long time Grandview Heights resident Dean Marcellana on keyboard\, Bradley Mellen on Electric Cello and Nathan Parker on drums and percussion.  The group combines intelligent original songwriting\, with infectious Latin and funk grooves to create an exciting\, captivating\, and entertaining experience for listeners. \nClave Sonic brings their high octane groove-based jazz set reminiscent of the sounds of Medeski\, Martin and Wood meets Chick Corea and Stevie Wonder\, mixed with the montuno and tumbao rhythms of early Afro-Cuban music. The Latin jazz influence in the band’s music comes from composer and pianist Dean Marcellana\, who spent many years in the Boston area performing with some of the top jazz and Latin jazz musicians in the city. That experience paved the way for a variety of original compositions rooted in jazz and R&B\, with a “Latin” feel\, hence the band’s inclusion of “Clave” in the name. In addition to his music career\, he is now an advocate for organ donations as a kidney transplant recipient. Above all\, it is Marvin’s desire to always make the Lord smile with his gift and can never take the gift for granted \nThe unique sound of vocalist Debra James Tucker is a product of extensive training in jazz\, classical and gospel music. She is the writer/performer of the one woman show Survival of the Boulevard Singer—winner of an Ohio Arts Council Award for Individual Excellence\, has been visiting instructor at Denison University in the history of African American Gospel Music\, and an artist in residence with several youth arts organizations. \nSoul Sunday at Natalie’s is held on the first Sunday of each month and starts with a delicious Brunch from 11 am until 1 pm with no admission fee. Seating for The Gospel Show Brunch show begins at 1:30 pm\, with showtime at 2:30 pm presenting the best national and regional Gospel Artists in concert. The evening show\, hosted by Paisha Thomas\, features a variety of Soul bands. Their rhythm section grooves solidly with Bill Patrick -guitar\, Jeff Plavcan- bass and Los Giles- drums. They are currently promoting their full length album “Time” which was released in April 2023.   \nHeather Redman & The Reputation  \nHeather Redman isn’t new to the southern Ohio music scene and has long been respected for her frequent role as a co-vocalist\, co-front person\, guitarist\, and percussionist. In 2003\, Rolling Stone Magazine hailed them as a band on the rise\, while Manda was voted as one of the Top 100 Women in Rock by the readers of UK magazine – Miss Minx. Manda has shared the stage with celebrated musicians such as Elvis Costello\, Billy Bob Thornton\, Phantom Planet\, and the Killers\, among others. \nManda’s musical compositions have been featured in various motion pictures\, including the low-budget thriller Creepies (2003) and the 1980s-style movie Nail Polish (2006). Yes\, they really are biological sisters\, and you’ll know it as soon as their wall of sibling harmony hits you! Leslie and Caitie have been performing in and out of bands together in Ohio for over twenty years. For over a decade the sisters have consistently played as “LPS” in bars\, writers rounds\, private parties\, corporate parties\, flown all over the country for special events\, and recently have performed during CMA Fest in Nashville\, TN. This year they plan to release new music and showcase their “whiskey roots rock” sound that they have been tirelessly crafting. \nFood & Bar: Our full food and drink menu will be available before and during the show.
