Growing up as the son of a master luthier  and bluegrass musician (Myron “Pete” Hart of Buckeye Mandolins/The Hart Brothers) and a stone’s throw from the Fur Peace Ranch – music is in his blood.  \nHis unique combination of knowledge\, temperament and confidence landed him the role as Jorma Kaukonen/Jack Casady’s (Hot Tuna/Jefferson Airplane) guitar tech/production manager for over the last 2 decades. As one of the industry’s more respected techs/sound engineers\, Myron has also toured as a mandolin/guitarist with Larry Campbell\, Teresa Williams and has performed on several of Jorma/Jack’s recordings alongside legends like Levon Helm.  \nOver the years\, he has developed some serious chops and has been quietly building a diverse catalog of his own music that shows his eclectic combination of influences and experiences. He finally decided to devote more time honing his own music and taking it to the stage. DESCRIPTION:Dan White and Joshua Hill team up for a special Natalie’s duo performance on Friday\, September 8th. They met in Columbus\, Ohio and have released 5 albums with Huntertones and have toured the world with shows in 5 continents and 25 countries.  \nDan White was born in Cleveland\, OH\, and grew up near Buffalo\, New York. He attended The Ohio State University studying music education and jazz performance. During his time in Columbus\, Ohio\, he met and formed Huntertones and taught middle school band before relocating to New York City in 2014. White has established himself as a highly collaborative producer\, composer\, and saxophonist currently on tour with Huntertones\, Cory Wong\, Kurt Elling SuperBlue featuring Charlie Hunter with recent performances at Bonnaroo\, North Sea Jazz Festival\, Newport Jazz Festival\, and on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. His compositions and arrangements have been played by orchestras\, marching bands\, and big bands all over the world. White has performed with Lake Street Dive\, Snarky Puppy\, Vulfpeck\, Andy Grammer\, Allen Stone\, Nate Smith\, Louis Cato\, and Jon Batiste. \nJoshua Hill hails from the proverbial ‘one stoplight’ town in the Southeastern Ohio village known as Lewisville-population 176. Joshua started playing guitar at age 13 and was immediately enamored with the sounds of Led Zeppelin\, The Eagles\, Stevie Ray Vaughan and particularly anything that was injected with the blues tradition laid down by masters such as B.B. King\, Robert Johnson and Albert King. At the same time studying classical guitar from a teacher over an hour away in St. Clairsville\, Josh became versed in the music of Fernando Sor\, Francisco Terrega and Andres Segovia. In 2001 Joshua was awarded the first guitar performance scholarship at West Virginia University. This was his first encounter of bebop and modern jazz stylings and would ultimately be a life changing experience that led to the attendance of The Ohio State University in 2003. There Joshua was awarded two performance scholarships\, and met many of the musicians he currently plays with in and around the Columbus\, Ohio area.  \nRESERVATIONS: Reservations are strongly encouraged for our free Happy Hour Shows!

This monthly series\, held on the second Wednesday of each month\, will include a special guest for each show\, and there will be rotating bourbon and other happy hour specials as well!   \nSeptember’s special guest is guitarist Matteo Velarde Chavez. Matteo is a lifelong Columbus native. His interest in music and songwriting started at an early age. He started guitar at 14 years old. He is lead singer and guitarist in Gen Blues. This year The Columbus Blues Alliance feature youth band is going to Memphis for the International Blues Challenge. \n \nDeuce n a Quarter is a celebrated central Ohio based blues band comprised of Andre Scott (drums)\, Martin O. Brown (bass & vocals)\, Keven Jones (keyboard)\, Keith Colbert (guitar) and Brian Peters (lead vocals & harmonica). The band and its members have a list of credits as performing artists and studio musicians. They are two-time Ohio Music Award winners\, two-time Columbus Blues Challenge winners and two-time International Blues Challenge finalists. The band’s forte is its original\, blues-based music where you’ll hear the influence of blues\, country\, soul\, and gospel. They have a long list of noteworthy performances at festivals\, night clubs and music venues…  where they’re always the crowd favorite. \nThe Columbus Blues Alliance (CBA) is a non-profit organization founded to help preserve and nurture blues music and is an affiliate of the Blues Foundation in Memphis. Hayes spent over ten years on the road touring with Canadian fiddler April Verch\, then progressive bluegrass band Newtown\, whose album Harlan Road featured Griffin’s guitar work and debuted at #8 on the Billboard Bluegrass Charts. DESCRIPTION:Natalie’s Grandview presents the Trad Nua Folk Club Night sponsored by the Dublin Irish Celebration featuring Dogwood Road. Tyler Moore (fiddle\, mandolin\, vocals) and Karl Wohlwend (guitar) are both veterans on America’s Irish music scene. As members of the bands Homeland\, Knot Fibb’n\, and Two2Many\, they have toured throughout the US\, playing in pubs\, concert halls and festivals in a dozen states. They can be heard playing on at least 10 full-length CD recordings. Tyler and Karl began playing together in the Ohio-based Two2Many in 2012\, and spun off as a duo act in 2014. Their sound has been described as “modern trad\,” reflecting their ability to bring the wealth of their varied experiences to bear on their approach to traditional music. Dogwood Road has feet firmly planted in the respect for the past\, while at the same time they acknowledge the spirit of today. He has won numerous awards for jazz performance including the Louis Armstrong Award for outstanding musicians while still in high school. He also received several scholarships at OSU including the Atkin Jazz Scholarship\, Tom Battenberg Jazz Scholarship\, and the George and Janice Scantland Jazz Scholarship. The band’s forte is its original\, blues-based music where you’ll hear the influence of blues\, country\, soul\, and gospel. They have a long list of noteworthy performances at festivals\, night clubs and music venues…  where they’re always the crowd favorite. \nThe Columbus Blues Alliance (CBA) is a non-profit organization founded to help preserve and nurture blues music and is an affiliate of the Blues Foundation in Memphis.
