Teresca’s philosophy\, “singing is the talent\, changing the atmosphere is the gift\,” speaks to her anointing as an atmosphere changer. \nSinging since the age of two\, Teresca\, a native of Cleveland\, Ohio has had the pleasure of singing with Gospel Recording Artists such as Donald Lawrence\, Kierra Shields and JJ Hairston. After moving to Columbus\, Ohio for academic purposes\, Teresca was blessed with the opportunity to sing background with many Praise Teams in the area. In addition to singing background\, Teresca worked as a Vocal Coach for Through Mind Eyes\, Incorporated\, training the youth in the artistry of singing. Teresca released her EP in March 2016 with debut single entitled “Revive Us”. She has had the opportunity to grace the Kingdom Image Awards in 2015. She is the winner of the 2016 Kingdom Image Awards Female Vocalist\, and 2023 Nominee for Female Vocalist of the year in addition\, Under Teresca’s Leading The City of Zion Church Praise Team are the 2017 Kingdom Image Awards\, Best Small Group Performance winner and 2023 Nominee for Best Small Group. Teresca was also WTHM Award nominee in two Categories “Best Female Gospel Vocalist “of The Year\, and “Best New Gospel Artist”. Teresca has ministered on several platforms including The Word Network on “The Shift with Dr. Taketa Williams and Trinity Broadcasting Network. She is the writer/performer of the one woman show Survival of the Boulevard Singer—winner of an Ohio Arts Council Award for Individual Excellence\, has been a visiting instructor at Denison University in the history of African American Gospel Music\, and an artist in residence with several youth arts organizations. \nSoul Sunday at Natalie’s is held on the first Sunday of each month. Seating for The Gospel Show Brunch show begins at 1:30 pm\, with showtime at 2:30 pm presenting the best national and regional Gospel Artists in concert hosted by Debra James Tucker. DESCRIPTION:Description – Bringing her unique blend of folk and indie rock\, Kelly Vaughn returns to Charlie’s Stage for a special Thursday night show.  Kelly was born and raised in the Columbus\, Ohio area. As a child she learned to play piano and guitar. Most of her life was spent around horses. Kelly was a professional horse trainer for 20+ years. It was not until after losing her mother to cancer in 2010\, that she found herself reconnecting with her guitar and began writing music. In July of 2014\, she made the decision to pursue music full-time. \nShe has performed at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has opened for national touring artists such as two time Grammy nominated Jennifer Knapp. Interviewed twice to date on Good Day Columbus\, she was recently featured on “Slice of Life” with Adam Slinger (WSYX 6). Her song “Ordinary Girl”\, from her debut EP (2014) was featured on local radio station CD 102.5 (92.9). She was \ninterviewed on “Music Journeys” with Mike Foley (90.5 WCBE). and also highlighted on WGRN 94.1’s “The Music Room” with Rick Barr. In March of 2017\, she released her first full-length album entitled “Life Goes On”. Among his many credits are appearances on “Mountain Stage with Larry Groce. \nRachel Figley was born and raised in Northeastern Ohio and has spent the better part of the last decade in Nashville\, Tennessee. Her sweet and soulful voice weaves a melancholy melody with stories of love\, heartbreak\, bourbon\, and the occasional murder. You’ll find evidence of small-town roots and Appalachian influence\, along with a hint of her favorite jazz vocalists from the 50s and 60s.  \nBen Leeson cut his teeth playing in dives around Northeast Ohio. He refined his folk-rock sound among the hills of Athens\, Ohio\, penning songs of heartache and telling stories. Leeson’s tunes carry influences of classic rock\, folk\, and indie. And just by showing up you’ll be supporting an incredible cause because a portion of ticket sales go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital! \nThe evening will also feature a charity raffle with items from Dave Buker & The Historian’s\, Natalies and Jesse Hubbard with the entirety of the money from the raffle going to St. Jude as well. \nSo\, mark your calendars and be sure to join us on December 16th for the Saint Russell’s Holiday Bash! \n\nDave Buker & the Historians: based in Columbus\, OH\, Dave Buker and the historians have been spreading their brand of americana since 2010. After performing at 2017’s Bunbury music festival\, which also featured death cab for cutie and the shins\, they won cd92.9fm’s local artist contest\, were featured by American songwriter magazine\, and opened for spoon\, alvvays\, and the aces. But as was true for many musicians\, the covid-19 pandemic slowed the band’s momentum\, and they chose to focus on writing and recording new music. The result is heirlooms\, the band’s first album of original music since 2019’s it moves in the dark. \nThe album is a change of pace that saw the band collaborate with new audio engineers and cultivate a more modern and energetic approach. Music blog tuned up recognized this in the album’s first single\, “Stubborn Blood”\, saying – “right out of the gate\, I’m struck by the driving nature of the song and the crunch of the guitars. This is somewhat unexpected for Buker\, an americana influenced indie artist that has been prolific in the Columbus scene for years.” The single was accompanied by a music video that pays homage to 80’s slasher films and emphasizes the more aggressive approach to the music. \nHeirlooms’ ten tracks show a different side of Dave Buker and the historians\, at once less organic and more intimate and urgent\, while maintaining the lyrical textures and vocal harmonies that have come to define the band. Check out their website! \nOctober Ember: Sometimes playful\, sometimes poignant\, October Ember is comprised of Jennifer Dutiel and Kevin Holland\, a multi-instrumentalist couple with a penchant for the quirky and the beautiful. A cross-pollination of folk\, indie lounge\, Euro Cafe\, art pop\, and punk cabaret\, their exploration of odd time signatures\, neo-minimalist pulses\, ethereal timbres\, and vast dynamic spectra transmutes ontology into sound. With the wisps of softened reeds\, dreamy guitars\, and intricate percussion\, they paint an aural tapestry for the film of existence.  \nOctober Ember formed in 2017 and launched their first self-titled EP that same year. The band includes Keigo Hirakawa on piano\, Bennett Miller on bass\, and Jeff Mellott on drums. The trio album “And Then There Were Three\,” enjoys radio plays on over 100 stations throughout the US. Hirakawa was a student of Danilo Perez\, Stephen Scott\, and Alan Pasqua\, and has appeared on stage alongside Donald Byrd\, Joe Lovano\, JD Allen\, Duane Eubanks\, Carla Cook\, Noah Priminger\, Bob Moses\, and Allen Vizzutti. His latest album “Pixel” features the jazz bassist Robert Hurst. DESCRIPTION:Nikki D & The Browns a.k.a The Sisters of Thunder is a family based group from Toledo\, Ohio. Their unique style is Gospel with Blues riffs and grooves\, all punctuated by Nikki D’s wildly soulful and electrifying steel guitar. In fact\, in 2016\, Guitar World magazine described Nikki as “The Jimi Hendrix of ‘Sacred Steel’ because of her willingness to experiment with vocal-like riffs and at times otherworldly sounds. She’s also a soulful vocalist that commands the attention of those that hear her raspy\, but yet sultry voice. The group is known for powerfully moving\, revival-like performances\, with beautifully atmospheric vocals riding above a wave of infectious rhythms and grooves. Their music has allowed them to open for artists like late Rance Allen\, The Slide Brothers and rock band\, Raconteurs. Their excitement for what they do and the energy they give will have you up on your feet. When they hit the stage\, a forecast for hand clapping and toe tapping will be expected. She is the writer/performer of the one woman show Survival of the Boulevard Singer—winner of an Ohio Arts Council Award for Individual Excellence\, has been a visiting instructor at Denison University in the history of African American Gospel Music\, and an artist in residence with several youth arts organizations. \nSoul Sunday at Natalie’s is held on the first Sunday of each month. Seating for The Gospel Show Brunch show begins at 1:30 pm\, with showtime at 2:30 pm presenting the best national and regional Gospel Artists in concert hosted by Debra James Tucker. The evening show\, hosted by Qamil\, features a variety of Soul bands.
