DESCRIPTION:Description – Bringing her unique blend of folk and indie rock\, Kelly Vaughn returns to Charlie’s Stage for a special Thursday night show.  Kelly was born and raised in the Columbus\, Ohio area. As a child she learned to play piano and guitar. Most of her life was spent around horses. Kelly was a professional horse trainer for 20+ years. It was not until after losing her mother to cancer in 2010\, that she found herself reconnecting with her guitar and began writing music. In July of 2014\, she made the decision to pursue music full-time. \nShe has performed at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has opened for national touring artists such as two time Grammy nominated Jennifer Knapp. Interviewed twice to date on Good Day Columbus\, she was recently featured on “Slice of Life” with Adam Slinger (WSYX 6). Her song “Ordinary Girl”\, from her debut EP (2014) was featured on local radio station CD 102.5 (92.9). She was \ninterviewed on “Music Journeys” with Mike Foley (90.5 WCBE). and also highlighted on WGRN 94.1’s “The Music Room” with Rick Barr. In March of 2017\, she released her first full-length album entitled “Life Goes On”. After moving to Columbus\, Ohio for academic purposes\, Teresca was blessed with the opportunity to sing background with many Praise Teams in the area. In addition to singing background\, Teresca worked as a Vocal Coach for Through Mind Eyes\, Incorporated\, training the youth in the artistry of singing. Teresca released her EP in March 2016 with debut single entitled “Revive Us”. She has had the opportunity to grace the Kingdom Image Awards in 2015. She is the winner of the 2016 Kingdom Image Awards Female Vocalist\, and 2023 Nominee for Female Vocalist of the year in addition\, Under Teresca’s Leading The City of Zion Church Praise Team are the 2017 Kingdom Image Awards\, Best Small Group Performance winner and 2023 Nominee for Best Small Group. Teresca was also WTHM Award nominee in two Categories “Best Female Gospel Vocalist “of The Year\, and “Best New Gospel Artist”. Teresca\, a Registered Nurse is the Market Director of Utilization Management of Springstone Behavioral Health Hospital. Teresca humbly serves as the Minister of Music at The City of Zion Church where Elgin D .Orton is Senior Pastor. Teresca is happily married to Minister Derrick L Showell and to this union have six children. In all this\, Teresca is purposed to give God glory through her life and music. Check out their website!  \nAdam Remnant: \nAdam Remnant is a songwriter\, musician\, producer\, and educator who lives and works in Southeast Ohio.  Adam got his start fronting the folk-rock band Southeast Engine. As the principal singer and songwriter of the band\, Remnant and his bandmates garnered critical acclaim from publications such as NPR\, Paste Magazine\, Pitchfork\, American Songwriter\, and many more. Remnant continues making music under his own name today. Adam has released the 2016 EP\, When I Was a Boy\, as well as the 2018 LP\, Sourwood. Remnant’s signature baritone voice and literary songwriting act as the focal point in the productions. DESCRIPTION:Singer/songwriter Lydia Brownfield’s latest project\, Albatross City\, is an audio-visual\, multi-media event showcasing Lydia’s original songs accompanied by original video. The three-piece ensemble includes Ty Landrum on a standing “cocktail” drum kit equipped with acoustic and electronic percussion\, and Jeff Dalrymple and Lydia switching between bass guitar\, and a variety of other guitars. \nThe songs were written with purpose and are each accompanied by a short film/video created by Lydia. The show is crafted with close attention to detail including pre-recorded sound effects setting moods\, and for changing of instruments among the group. Their sound is a twist of swampy pop\, and indie singer/songwriter\, with electronic undertones. \nStill with catchy hooks and the memorable choruses that Lydia is known for\, the songs feel explicitly poignant\, and deal with the often bipolar mix of emotion that is our collective human experience. DESCRIPTION:Join a night of original music from area singer songwriters hosted by Ron Freeman.  \nShiloh Hawkins is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist best known for her organic songwriting approach\, emotive vocals and captivating storytelling. A native of Youngstown\, Ohio\, her musical career has taken her as far away as Austin\, Texas. Being in a new city inspired Shiloh to create tracks such as “Put the Coffee On” and “Honey Bee\,” but the pull of home brought her back to Ohio where she has settled in Columbus. Her latest album\, “When You Love A Traveler” is an evolutionary breakaway from previous work\, percussive and raw\, drawing inspiration from 1960s and 70s Americana\, Folk\, Jazz\, and Country. The 13 track LP was released in March 2019. A new record is in the works and will be released in Spring of 2024 with Hawkins’ band\, Common Blue Violets.  \nLuke Harris has been writing and performing in Columbus\, Ohio for over 15 years. He is currently the frontman for both Playing to Vapors and Summon Luke. His music is a blend of rock\, pop\, alternative and occasionally folk with fantastical and tragic lyrics. His band Summon Luke has released multiple singles in the past year\, most recently the song “Caroline”. \nRon Freeman is a singer/songwriter and member of Lost Orchards\, a Columbus\, Ohio Americana band with two EPs: “Deaf Kids” and “Assassins”\, a concept record about the love affairs of presidential assassins. Ron’s songs have been described as “strange\,” “cerebral\,” and “like a really good ice cream cone that melts faster than you can eat it.” With a fresh perspective and a lyric-driven approach\, Ron is a natural storyteller who chronicles unique subjects like the invention of the high five\, the closing of restaurants\, and Civil War era religious cults. DESCRIPTION:Much has changed for singer-songwriter Alice Peacock since her last solo studio album\, 2009’s Love Remains. She’s had three kids\, moved to Cincinnati and … gotten 10 years older. “Feel the weight of the world on my shoulders/ Am I wiser or am I just older?” she sings on “Dry Spell\,” from her new collection\, Minnesota. The record suggests that despite her “wondering what all is yet to be\,” she has indeed attained a measure of wisdom. \nShe uses the word “midlife” but does not follow it by “crisis.” She views her current outlook more as an awareness of life’s fragility and an appreciation of its sweetness. “Being a parent\, I don’t know that I could love any more than I do right now\,” she says\, “so I’ve also never been more vulnerable. I have everything to lose.” \nFurther evidence of this contemplative spirit can be heard on album closer “God Be Near Me\,” about which Peacock says\, “I wrote a hymn out of nowhere! I was sitting at the piano one day going\, ‘Am I completely screwing this all up?’ And I found myself thinking\, ‘Help me to stay focused on love.’” The lyrics ask\, “Help me to surrender/ And love the world the way you do/ Now and ever after/ And live in love the way you do.” \nOn Minnesota\, Peacock explores an understanding of love\, in particular\, that transcends hearts and flowers\, Sturm und Drang. “Resting in the Quiet” acknowledges “a glimpse of the divine” in unspoken eloquence: “We don’t have to talk about it/ We don’t have to say a word/ We can wrap ourselves in silence/ Cause I’ve already heard/ Everything your eyes are saying.” \nA departure from romantic love\, “Free and Wild” is a lullaby sung from the point of view of someone “with a love so fierce” it hurts. Peacock likens parenthood to “going through life with your heart outside your body.” \nThe album’s title track is a love song to her home state\, where her family spends their summers. “I’ve lived in Illinois and Tennessee and now Ohio and I love them all\, but there’s something about home … As soon as I get back to Minnesota and hear the birds and smell the air\, I feel\, ‘This is mine; this is me.’” In the song she recalls sitting in “sacred silence\,” watching “the electric light show playing wide across the sky.” \n“Things feel very sacred to me at this time in my life\,” Peacock confides. “You reach an age where you begin to lose people. Marvin has recorded as a background vocalist on several albums in the gospel\, R&B and pop field and appeared in 33 gospel stage plays over the last 25 years. In addition to his music career\, he is now an advocate for organ donations as a kidney transplant recipient. Above all\, it is Marvin’s desire to always make the Lord smile with his gift and can never take the gift for granted \nThe unique sound of vocalist Debra James Tucker is a product of extensive training in jazz\, classical and gospel music. She is the writer/performer of the one woman show Survival of the Boulevard Singer—winner of an Ohio Arts Council Award for Individual Excellence\, has been visiting instructor at Denison University in the history of African American Gospel Music\, and an artist in residence with several youth arts organizations. \nSoul Sunday at Natalie’s is held on the first Sunday of each month and starts with a delicious Brunch from 11 am until 1 pm with no admission fee. Seating for The Gospel Show Brunch show begins at 1:30 pm\, with showtime at 2:30 pm presenting the best national and regional Gospel Artists in concert. The Latin jazz influence in the band’s music comes from composer and pianist Dean Marcellana\, who spent many years in the Boston area performing with some of the top jazz and Latin jazz musicians in the city. That experience paved the way for a variety of original compositions rooted in jazz and R&B\, with a “Latin” feel\, hence the band’s inclusion of “Clave” in the name. DESCRIPTION:Ellis Paul doesn’t just write songs; he’s a guitar-carrying reporter who covers the human condition  and details the hopes\, loves\, losses of those he observes\, turning their stories into luminous pieces of  music that get under your skin and into your bloodstream. And much like the artists who have influenced  him\, everyone from Joni Mitchell\, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon to the singer-songwriter who is undoubtedly  his greatest inspiration\, Woody Guthrie\, Paul weaves deeply personal experiences with social issues and  renders them as provocative works that are as timely as they are timeless. Born and raised in Maine\, Paul  attended Boston College on a track scholarship and in the evenings became a fixture on the city’s open  mic circuit. After winning a Boston Acoustic Underground songwriter competition\, he caught the ear of  folk luminary Bill Morrissey\, who produced his indie album Say Something in 1993. This led to a seven album contract with Rounder Records and the 1994 album\, Stories.  \nHis songs have appeared in several blockbuster films (Me\, Myself\, and Irene; Shallow Hal\, Hall Pass) and  have been covered by award winning country artists (Sugarland\, Kristian Bush\, Jack Ingram). Through a  steady succession of albums of his own – a remarkable 23 releases so far – and a constant touring  presence around the world\, Paul’s audience has grown into a loyal legion of fans. Along the way\, he has  picked up an impressive number of awards including the prestigious Kerrville New Folk Award\, 15 Boston  Music Awards\, An Honorary Doctorate from the University of Maine\, the 2019 International Acoustic  Music Awards Artist of the Year and most recently his album\, The Storyteller’s Suitcase\, was named the  2019 NERFA Album of the Year.  \nHis new album “55” touches on the necessity of gratitude in a difficult era of the pandemic and divided  political stances on his own imprint\, Rosella Records.  \nFood & Bar: Our full food and drink menu will be available before and during the show. \n

DESCRIPTION:The concert has the same title of Beppe Gambetta’s recent book where the main question is: “Can being together in the beauty of music\, good humor\, and great food be the key to a better world? “  \nBeppe Gambetta tries to answer to this question during his concert\, by reliving the encounters and “declarations of love” that have marked his career as an independent artist. These are declarations of love for music\, songs\, acoustic guitar\, travels\, and also for the warmth of the audience\, the Founding  Fathers of the art\, the music communities that you can find at festivals and jam sessions\, for his hometown Genoa and also for the smell of the “sauté” of onion\, porcini\, parsley and pepper! A musical path for togetherness based on a unique guitar style that Beppe brings to the audience with lightness and sincerity.  \nBeppe Gambetta is a musician and ambassador of art\, who\, for more than four decades\, continues to amaze us with the  uniqueness and originality of his projects born on both sides of the Atlantic. DESCRIPTION:The Trad Nua Celtic Series at Natalie’s is hosted by acclaimed Irish musicians Randy Clepper and Mick Broderick. The series presents a variety of traditional Irish and Celtic acts often juxtaposing old styles with new influences\, local and international artists\, and featuring traditional instruments. Sponsored by the Dublin Irish Celebration. \nWe’re pleased to host Gerry O’Connor – regarded as one of the great fiddle players of his generation. He grew up in Dundalk\, County Louth\, where he was surrounded by a musical family. He took fiddle lessons from his mother\, the great fiddle teacher\, Rose O’Connor. \nGerry won numerous All Ireland titles between 1967 and 1973. He played with John Joe Gardiner in the 1970’s which greatly formed his style; focusing on the fluid\, ornamented\, lyrical fiddling of the great Sligo masters. Gerry’s background in dance provides the influence for his vibrant dance music.  \nGerry has played and recorded with highly regarded groups including Lá Lúgh\, Skylark\, on the Claddagh label. Toured and recorded with members of legendary Irish groups including Planxty\, The Bothy Band\, De Dannan\, Boys of the Lough and The Chieftains. Lá Lúgh’s album\, Brighid’s Kiss was voted album of the year 1996 by Irish Music Magazine\, his solo album\, Journeyman\, was in the top five albums of 2004 by the Irish Times and was counted as a significant milestone recording of the music of the Oriel region of South Ulster. With Nuala Kennedy\, Martin Quinn and Gilles le Bigot\, Gerry released the album Oirialla making the debut at the 2012 Celtic Colours Festival in Cape Breton\, Canada.  \nIn 2018 Gerry was awarded Ceannródai\, the prestigious Bardic Award by Comhaltas for his valued contributions to the Traditional Arts. Also in 2018 he launched is second solo album\, Last Night’s Joy\, and published The Rose in the Gap-Dance Music for Oriel from the Donnellan Collection.  \nGerry is currently touring and has recorded six albums with the celebrated Irish-Canadian group The Irish Rovers.  \nPlaying along with Gerry – Central-Ohio-based Randy Clepper is an in-demand player of the Irish bouzouki\, also tenor banjo\, fingerstyle guitar\, and hammered dulcimer\, who performs with many artists including John Sherman\, Mick Broderick and Bella Issakova. \nRick and Hillary Wagner and Jim’s Red Pants. This duo performs historic American fiddle tunes\, Irish\, Scottish\, and English country dance music as well as original and contemporary folk music on fiddle\, bouzouki\, tenor guitar\, mandolins\, tenor and 5 string banjo\, flute and whistle\, vocals\, piano\, and more. They are located in Dayton\, Ohio and perform at historical events\, libraries\, weddings\, house concerts\, municipal concerts\, pretty much anywhere!
